Year 5 and 6 were set a new task today by DC Charlotte Briars in the investigation of a theft at a secondary school nearby. A periscope was found at the scene of the crime and the pupils investigated what...
One of the great things about cooking club is all the skills our chefs already come to the table with and their willingness to learn new skills. As we made apple and blackberry cake today, one pupil learnt how to safely...
All the rain we have had recently was brilliant for our invertebrates hunt this week with years 3 and 4. We had a wonderful time finding all the living things in Tabard Gardens and were able to use a classification key...
As we study the seasons, years 1 and 2 have been on an Autumn walk in Tabard Gardens. We spotted so many signs of autumn like colourful leaves, conker husks and even mushrooms and berries. We used Autumn Leaf Detectives...
Every Thursday Year 6 reads with Year 1 and Year 5 reads with Year 2. The children love working together (and we love it too!). Interacting like this across ages and stages develops so much more than literacy skills!
Our pupils
Our pupils are our greatest testament to the education we provide.
With a healthy mix of teacher input and independent learning, pupils are encouraged to express their creativity and understanding in a variety of different ways such as writing, speaking, art, music, dance, drama, sport and technology.
Christian ethos
We believe that every area of school life should be informed and distinctively shaped by our Christian foundation, and by an ethos that is kind, academically ambitious, full of co-curricular opportunities and which encourages each child to think for themselves and to serve others. Children of all faiths and none are warmly welcome.
Encourage and develop
From a non-selective intake we achieve the best results for your child to progress to their next choice of school.
We are not only about preparing for these assessments. We encourage excellent learning habits throughout each child’s school life. From the moment your child arrives, we aim to find out their strengths and gifts (academic or otherwise) and to encourage and develop these.
