Aeronautical engineering here we come! Year 5 and 6 have been investigating solutions to the problems of UV radiation on the space telescope, Euclid, launched in 2024 to study dark matter in space. Using UV reactive beads, they tested a variety of materials for UV insulation using tests they devised, conducted and recorded entirely by themselves. They also learned the frustrations of variables you cannot control like the wind…and friends’ shadows!
