The School Council hosted Endangered Animal Day on Thursday 17 March and it was a huge success! We held it because various species are becoming more and more scarce. We wanted to raise awareness of this fact and hold an event to raise money for the WWF. We managed to raise £134.40 in order to sponsor a rhino, a penguin, a turtle and a panda. Activities included: 'pin the horn on the rhino', a photo booth, paw biscuits and tattoos. Everyone had a lot of fun.
Throughout the week the School Council gave presentations to classes about the endangered animals and students did a silhouette quiz and matched up the animals names with all the languages spoken by children at school. We are really pleased with how it all turned out.
