On the 15th of June, we (Year Five and Six) went to a bakery called The Bread And Macaroon in Bermondsey. We went so we could practise talking in French in the real world, and for an end of term treat. There was a variety of sweet treats on offer, including cake, pastries and a selection of fruit tarts, which were all delicious. We could have eaten all of them! We all ordered our own food and drinks; most of us chose lemonade. Bertrand, the owner, had kindly set out all the tables and chairs on the terrace. He asked us lots of extra questions in French too. It was just like being in France, but it was only a bus ride away! Afterwards, we went to Tabard Gardens and played boules, French Dobble and Changez!
