Years 5 and 6 have had an amazing half term as engineers. They have learnt about the forces surrounding floating and have investigated the relationship between upthrust, weight and volume. Putting all their amazing knowledge together, they created floating platforms that had to carry a load and remain stable. It was a great example of the children working with their hands and heads simultaneously engaged!
